Application Case – Tidal Flats

Application Case - Tidal Flats

1. Efficient use of land resources
Most tidal flats are saline-alkali land, swamps or intertidal zones. Traditional agricultural or industrial development is difficult and costly. Photovoltaic projects can make full use of these idle lands, improve land benefits, avoid occupying arable land, avoid competing with agriculture, and comply with national arable land protection policies.

2. Improved power generation efficiency
The air humidity in coastal areas is high, and water has a cooling effect on photovoltaic panels, which can reduce the temperature of photovoltaic modules (high temperature will reduce power generation efficiency) and thus increase power generation. Some tidal flat areas have excellent lighting conditions (such as the eastern coast of China), and the annual effective sunlight hours are high.

3. Policy support and economic benefits
In line with the national "dual carbon" goals, enjoy policy dividends such as renewable energy subsidies and green electricity certificates. The rent of the tidal flats is low, which reduces the initial investment cost of the project. It can be combined with fishery farming ("fish-light complementary" model) to achieve dual use of one site and increase comprehensive benefits

4. Convenient grid access
Coastal areas have developed economies, large electricity demand, and strong local consumption capacity, which reduces long-distance transmission losses. It can form a multi-energy complementary system with offshore wind power, energy storage, etc., and enhance the stability of the grid.
